The results of the censuses in the Republic of Estonia and the Russian Federation have recently become available. What do these results tell us about linguistic diversity in Estonia compared to the previous census? What conclusions can we draw from the Russian census and how have the Finno-Ugric peoples fared there? Linguist Jüri Viikberg (Institute of the Estonian Language) and historian Jaak Prozes (Fenno-Ugria) will present and discuss the results of the censuses.
