Mall Hellam, a philologist of Hungarian and Finno-Ugric languages at the Loránd Eötvös University of Budapest, a long-time Honorary Consul of Hungary and a long-time chairman of the Estonian Hungarian Society, has for decades followed Hungary’s internal and foreign policy, which has been controversial in recent years. In her review, she reflects on the state of the Hungarian state and what cooperation between Finno-Ugric countries looks like against this backdrop.
