Literary Award 📚

Since 2007, the Kindred Peoples’ Programme confers the Literary Award in honour of the Udmurt writer and public figure Kuzebai Gerd.

Kindred Peoples’ Programme

The main objective of the Kindred Peoples’ Programme (in Estonian: Hõimurahvaste programm) is to support the preservation and development of the languages and cultures of kindred Uralic (i.e., Finno-Ugric and Samoyedic) indigenous peoples.

Uralic Ethnic Studies Award 🔭

Since 2012, academic works by representatives of kindred Uralic peoples without their own statehood are recognised in two categories. Laureates will be announced on the Kindred Peoples’ Day.

Fenno-Ugria condemns the aggression by the Russian Federation in Ukraine

We do not consider cooperation possible with Finno-Ugric peoples’ organisations and individuals that support military action against Ukraine by the Russian Federation, until they stop supporting the activities against humanity by the leadership of their country.

Capitals of Culture

The programme of Finno-Ugric Capitals of Culture aims to raise awareness of Finno-Ugric and Samoyedic peoples as well as Uralic languages, to strengthen collective Finno-Ugric identity and to stimulate sustainable local development in different corners of the Finno-Ugric world.
