II World Congress of Finno-Ugric Peoples Budapest, Republic of Hungary August 17.–19., 1996
A Hungarian national organization was established for organizing the Congress. All preparations were coordinated with Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs via György Nanofsky, Hungary’s Ambassador in Moscow.
The plenary session which was opened by the President of Hungary, was held in the Parliament building.
