A few days left: deadline 31.08. for Uralic Ethnic Studies and Scientific Research Published In A Uralic Language Awards!
The awards recognise the research work of kindred peoples who have do not have sovereign states. The awards are given for a monograph, collection or edited volume published in the last four years (2019-2023):
- Uralic Ethnic Studies Award: research in the field of Uralic ethnic studies (literature, linguistics, history, archaeology, ethnology, folklore) in any language;
- Scientific Research Published In A Uralic Language Award: research published in a Uralic language in any discipline.
Prize fund is 2,500 euros.
The deadline for submission of applications is 31 August 2023.
This year, we are looking for research from researchers outside the Russian Federation. Submission of applications will be electronically. Please be sure to consult the award statutes and criteria guidelines before submitting your application.
The winners of the Awards will be announced on the Kindred Peoples’ Day, which this year falls on 21 October. The Kindred Peoples’ Programme is an Estonian state aid programme to support the languages and cultures of Finno-Ugric and Samoyed indigenous peoples.
