Second call for cultural and educational projects

The second call for cultural and educational projects under the Kindred People’s Programme is open. The deadline for the applications is 7 May 2026, 11:59 p.m.

The total budget for this call for proposals is 30,000 euros.

Applications must be submitted via the application processing information system (in Estonian).

We recommend reading the application guidelines (in Estonian) before submitting your application. More information about the call for proposals is available on the Institute of the Estonian Language website (in Estonian).

Through the cultural and educational projects measure of the Kindred Peoples’ Programme, support is provided outside the Russian Federation for:

  • the organisation of cultural events introducing Finno-Ugric peoples, events and projects promoting the cultural life, cultural exchange and co-operation of Finno-Ugric peoples;
  • the conduct of training and professional development;
  • the publication of literary and cultural books in the languages of kindred peoples;
  • the compilation and publication of materials introducing the languages and cultures of kindred peoples;
  • the development of teaching materials in the native languages of kindred peoples, language training, and the development of e-language learning solutions;
  • participation in joint expeditions, fieldwork, and conferences.

The Kindred Peoples’ Programme does not support:

  • projects that have already taken place by the application deadline;
  • the purchase of equipment and basic supplies.
