Data on Finno-Ugric peoples and languages show the continuing decline of these cultures. Jaak Prozes, Fenno-Ugria&#8217;s adviser, and linguist<strong>\u00a0J\u00fcri Viikberg<\/strong>\u00a0comment on recent census data in the Russian Federation and Estonia from the perspective of Finno-Ugric peoples.<strong>\u00a0Sven-Erik Soosaar<\/strong>\u00a0discusses the principles for the protection of indigenous languages and peoples in the light of the ideas of the UNESCO Decade of Indigenous Languages 2022\u20132032. There are also book reviews and eulogies for\u00a0<strong>Tiit-Rein Viitso<\/strong>, as well as articles on the anniversaries of\u00a0<strong>Kristi Salve<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0Arvo Valton<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>T\u00f5nu Seilenthal<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Kauksi \u00dclle<\/strong>.
