{"id":35358,"date":"2021-05-02T13:32:15","date_gmt":"2021-05-02T10:32:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/?page_id=35358"},"modified":"2025-10-19T12:16:50","modified_gmt":"2025-10-19T09:16:50","slug":"fellows","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/grants\/lennartmerifund\/fellows\/","title":{"rendered":"Fellows"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"545\" height=\"364\" src=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Veelinnurahva-rahastu-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26766 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Veelinnurahva-rahastu-1.jpg 545w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Veelinnurahva-rahastu-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 545px) 100vw, 545px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\"><p>The Lennart Meri Waterfowl Fund was established on 20 June 2007 with the objective of preserving the memory of a remarkable statesman and researcher of Finno-Ugric peoples, and to support the creative and social activities of youth for the benefit of Finno-Ugric peoples.<\/p><\/div><\/div><h1 id=\"heading-3d78b2e7\">Fellows<\/h1><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2025 \u2013 <strong>Patrick O&#8217;Rourke<\/strong> \u2013 linguist and chairman of Taivaannaula and the Finnish Anbur Society.<\/li>\n\n<li>2024 \u2013 <strong>Bog\u00e1ta Tim\u00e1r<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/peoples\/hungarians\/\">Hungarian<\/a> activist, junior researcher and PhD student at the University of Tartu, chair of NGO H\u00f5imul\u00f5imed.<\/li>\n\n<li>2020 \u2013 <strong>Raisija Sungurova<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/peoples\/maris\/\">Mari<\/a> poet, founder of children&#8217;s and youth folklore groups, leader of the Yugra Mari community.<\/li>\n\n<li>2018 \u2013 <strong>Nikolai Anisimov<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/peoples\/udmurts\/\">Udmurt<\/a> folklorist, researcher at the Estonian Literary Museum and member of the ensemble AR-GOD.<\/li>\n\n<li>2016 \u2013 <strong>Karoliina Kreintaal <\/strong>\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/peoples\/baltic-finnic-peoples\/estonians\/\">Estonian<\/a> folk musician and photographer, author of the traveling exhibition &#8216;Visits to the Edge of the World&#8217;.<\/li>\n\n<li>2014 &#8211; <strong>Julia Nikitina <\/strong>\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/peoples\/udmurts\/\">Udmurt<\/a> activist, CEO of the Organising Committee of the Finno-Ugric Capital of Culture Bygy 2014.<\/li>\n\n<li>2013 \u2013 <strong>Aleksei Tsykarev<\/strong> \u2013 of <a href=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/peoples\/baltic-finnic-peoples\/karelians\/ludians\/\">Ludian<\/a> nationality, Tsykarev has previously been the leading figure of the national organisation Young Karelia, having initiate and led many projects.<\/li>\n\n<li>2012 \u2013 <strong>Leanne Barbo<\/strong> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/en\/peoples\/baltic-finnic-peoples\/estonians\/\">Estonian<\/a> folk musician, music and dance teacher, and organiser of the Tallinn Dance Club. For several years, she has visited the Votic language and culture summer camp in J\u00f5g\u00f5per\u00e4 to teach Votic songs and Ingrian dances to Votes.
