Samoyedic languages\u00a0are languages of the Uralic language family which are spoken by Samoyedic peoples inhabiting the northern parts of Eurasia in Russia.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"333\" data-id=\"36323\" src=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/samoyedic_map_xvii-xx-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/samoyedic_map_xvii-xx-1.png 300w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/samoyedic_map_xvii-xx-1-180x200.png 180w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"949\" height=\"720\" data-id=\"36349\" src=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1-949x720.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36349\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1-949x720.png 949w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1-527x400.png 527w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1-264x200.png 264w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1-768x583.png 768w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1-1536x1165.png 1536w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1-1200x910.png 1200w, https:\/\/fennougria.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/uralic_map-1.png 1798w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 949px) 100vw, 949px\" \/><\/figure><\/figure><h2 id=\"heading-c88e3f66\">Samoyedic languages include<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Nenets<\/strong>\u00a0(31,311 speakers) with two main dialects which are often considered separate languages:<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Tundra Nenets<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 an endangered language in the Nenets and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Regions and in the Taimyr region of Krasnoyarsk Krai<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Forest Nenets\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 a seriously endangered language in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Enets<\/strong>\u00a0(119 speakers) \u2013 a disappearing language in North Siberia&#8217;s Taimyr Autonomous Region at the Yenisei River, with two main dialects: Forest Enets and Tundra Enets, which are usually considered separate languages.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Nganasan<\/strong>\u00a0(505 speakers) \u2013 a seriously endangered language in Siberia&#8217;s Taimyr peninsula.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Selkup<\/strong>\u00a0(1,641 speakers) \u2013 a seriously endangered language in Western Siberia between Ob and Yenisei Rivers.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Kamass<\/strong> \u2013 an extinct language (last speaker Klavdiya Plotnikova died in 1989)<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Mator<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a Samoyed language that became extinct at the beginning of the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century. Its dialects were Taigi and Karagassian.<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Koibal<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a Samoyed language that became extinct at the beginning of the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century.
